  16. Memphis, Tennessee. King was a black genius who influenced
  17. younger white superstars such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric
  18. Clapton. As their careers flourished, so did his. A lefty who
  19. played a right-handed guitar, King pulled the strings that
  20. others pushed, in a uniquely emphatic style.
